With years of experience as an Architect & Designer, I’ve helped clients create beautiful, functional homes. At ROOM 33 STUDIO, I offer architect-led virtual design that blends clean lines and natural textures, resulting in sophisticated interiors that resonate with the soul of the space.
01/11
Tasked with a literal 'blank canvas,' the goal was to infuse a soul into the architectural shell through a curated furnishing strategy that balances the rugged beauty of the high desert with sophisticated interiors that embody both elegance and comfort.
The result is Heritage Refined—a design narrative that honors traditional comfort while maintaining a modern, high-contrast edge.
Project Vision: Heritage Refined
The design philosophy centers on 'Pastoral Elegance & Tactile Warmth.' For a brand new construction, the challenge is often overcoming the 'cold' feel of fresh plaster and tile.
We bridged this gap by layering organic textures—woven jute, aged metals, and reclaimed wood—against a sophisticated palette of Sage Green, Deep Olive, and Dusty Rose, creating personalized interiors that resonate with warmth and style.
The Great Room & Kitchen
In the heart of the home, we leaned into a 'high-low' contrast strategy. The rich, cognac leather of the seating provides a grounded, masculine foundation, while the tray ceilings were accentuated with soft, hidden LED grazing to highlight the architectural volume.
We replaced the emptiness with a curated mix of dark wood tones and landscape-inspired art that mirrors the New Mexico horizon, showcasing the potential of architect-led virtual design to create inviting spaces.
The Dining Suite
To create a sense of history in a new space, we anchored the dining room with an oversized, ornate silver leaf mirror.
This "heritage" piece reflects the light from the industrial linear chandelier, creating a beautiful juxtaposition between old-world charm and modern lines. The floor-to-ceiling drapery in a muted teal adds a necessary verticality and softness to the tiled space.
The Primary Retreat
The bedroom transition moved from a sterile environment to a sanctuary of warmth. By utilizing a saturated Terracotta and Burnt Orange bedding suite against neutral walls, we crafted personalized interiors that feel both energetic and restful. The inclusion of a traditional Persian-style rug over the carpet adds the "heritage" layer that defines the project’s name.
The Executive Study
Function meets personality in the home office, a perfect example of architect-led virtual design. We utilized X-frame shelving and a matching desk to maintain an open, airy feel while providing ample space for curation. The deep navy sofa and floral accents create a moody, intellectual atmosphere—perfect for a workspace that feels like a destination rather than an afterthought. (And yes, it’s even beagle-approved.)
Design Highlights
Palette: Warm Cream, Sage, Olive, and Terracotta.
Materials: Oak beam details, miniature plaster techniques, and aged bronze hardware.
Aesthetic: A seamless blend of Japandi-inspired minimalism and Traditional Americana, showcasing sophisticated interiors.

This project, titled Contemporary Pueblo Luxe, represents a sophisticated evolution of traditional Southwestern architecture. For this private Albuquerque residence, the goal was to honor the home’s deep-rooted Pueblo Revival bones while elevating the interior to a high-end, editorial standard that feels both timeless and modern through architect-led virtual design.
The Vision: Contemporary Pueblo Luxe
The design philosophy for this project centers on "Organic Sophistication." We moved away from the heavy, often cluttered "traditional" Southwest look in favor of a minimalist, curated aesthetic that embraces personalized interiors.
By utilizing a high-contrast palette of Adobe Plaster, Burnt Umber, and Burnished Gold, we created a visual narrative that feels grounded in the desert landscape but refined for luxury living.
Architectural Synergy
The architecture of this home—characterized by soaring ceilings, massive exposed vigas, and a signature Kiva fireplace—demanded furniture and decor that matched its scale without competing for attention, resulting in sophisticated interiors.
• Scale and Proportion: We utilized low-profile, modular seating to maintain the sense of volume provided by the high ceilings. The oversized birdcage chandeliers act as focal points that bridge the gap between the rustic wood beams and the polished interior.
• Material Harmony: The design introduces "Elevated Textures"—think jute, rich leathers, and woven textiles—that provide a tactile counterpoint to the smooth, hand-plastered walls.
• Cultural Continuity: Rather than generic decor, we integrated curated Southwestern pottery and geometric textile art. These pieces respect the local heritage while the minimalist arrangement keeps the space feeling airy and aligned with the ethos of "ROOM 33" editorial.
Design Highlights
The transformation highlights our studio’s expertise in architect-led virtual design and personalized interiors:
• Palette: A tonal foundation of Desert Sand and Jute Cream provides a serene backdrop, allowing the architectural shadows cast by the vigas to become part of the design.
• Lighting: Layered lighting—from the warm glow of the Kiva to the dramatic statement pendants—ensures the home feels intimate despite its grand proportions.
• Biophilic Integration: Large-scale desert flora, like the potted agaves, brings the Albuquerque landscape indoors, reinforcing the connection between the built environment and the high-desert surroundings.
Project Result: A seamless transition from "under-construction" to a showcase of sophisticated interiors.

This project, titled Modern Grandeur, represents a sophisticated evolution of interior styling that balances comfort with high-end editorial design, particularly through architect-led virtual design techniques.
For this residence, the goal was to transform a raw, under-construction shell into a space characterized by elevated comfort and mixed textures, creating a home that feels both expansive and intimately lived-in—truly a showcase of sophisticated interiors.
The Vision: Modern Grandeur
The design philosophy for this project centers on a balanced blend of warm neutrals and timeless elegance. We moved away from the coldness often associated with modern design in favor of a layered, tactile aesthetic. By utilizing a high-contrast palette of Warm Cream, Cool Grey, Tan Leather, Burnt Orange, and Olive, we created a visual narrative that feels grounded and inviting, perfectly aligning with personalized interiors.
Architectural Synergy
The architecture of this home—defined by its open-concept layout and dark structural ceiling beams—demanded a design strategy that bridged the gap between grand scale and human-centric comfort.
* Scale and Proportion: We utilized low-profile, modular seating and oversized metal orb pendants to define the living area within the open floor plan.
These elements act as focal points that draw the eye upward to the architectural beams while keeping the living space feeling cozy and grounded.
* Material Harmony: The design introduces a rich variety of materials—think cable-knit textiles, jute, rich leathers, and mixed wood grains—that provide a tactile counterpoint to the clean lines of the architecture, enhancing the concept of architect-led virtual design.
* Cultural Continuity: Integrating desert-themed artwork and geometric coffee tables ensures the space feels connected to its environment, promoting personalized interiors that reflect the local landscape.
These pieces respect the local landscape while the minimalist arrangement keeps the space feeling airy and modern.
Design Highlights
The transformation showcases expertise in material curation and virtual staging, emphasizing sophisticated interiors:
* Palette: A foundation of Warm Cream and Cool Grey provides a serene backdrop, allowing the pops of Burnt Orange and Olive to provide warmth and visual interest throughout the day.
* Lighting: Layered lighting—from the dramatic metal orb pendants to the textured lamp bases—ensures the home transitions seamlessly from a bright, sun-drenched morning to an intimate evening atmosphere.
* Texture Integration: By mixing smooth surfaces like the geometric coffee tables with soft elements like the shaggy rug and knit poufs, we reinforced the connection between luxury and livability.
Project Result: A seamless transition from a bare construction site to a luxury editorial showcase.
In the crucial Transformation Stage for occupied or dated properties, the primary objective is to strip away visual noise to reveal a space's true architectural potential through architect-led virtual design.
The initial state of this living area presented a familiar challenge: a disjointed layout weighed down by heavy, oversized furniture, inefficient lighting from a dated ceiling fixture, and everyday clutter that obscured the room's natural scale. By systematically clearing the space and reimagining the heavy wood-paneled ceiling, the foundation was laid to shift the room from a purely functional, lived-in area into a clean canvas primed for a sophisticated interiors design intervention, offering personalized interiors that cater to the homeowner's unique style.
The final staging brilliantly showcases the power of this transformation, introducing a cohesive palette of earthy tones and organic materials that completely redefine the atmosphere. Through architect-led virtual design, the newly refined, illuminated wooden ceiling beams draw the eye upward, complementing the warmth of the distinctive adobe-style fireplace. A curated selection of textured upholstery and mid-century modern-inspired accents anchors the seating area, creating personalized interiors that exude sophistication.
This dramatic evolution not only highlights the harmonious flow of the room but also perfectly illustrates how a dated property can be successfully reimagined into sophisticated interiors that immediately captivate potential buyers or clients.

At ROOM 33 STUDIO, capturing the true essence of a space involves an architect-led virtual design approach that strikes a delicate balance between authentic atmosphere and visual clarity. This visual study highlights a meticulous method for creating personalized interiors by focusing on lighting and shadow, ensuring that the interplay of natural light, earthy tones, and organic textures is perfectly represented.
Technical Execution & Visual Impact:
• Natural Shadow Mapping:
The first perspective embraces the dynamic, dramatic quality of natural sunlight filtering through the window treatments. By precisely mapping these high-contrast, linear shadows, the inherent tactile qualities of the space are amplified. The directional light accentuates the woven texture of the minimalist armchair, the fringed throw, and the smooth, porous surface of the concrete succulent planter, grounding the design in a realistic, sun-drenched environment while enhancing the sophistication of the interiors.
• Advanced Lighting Correction:
The second perspective illustrates seamless lighting correction designed to soften harsh contrasts while maintaining the cozy integrity of personalized interiors. By balancing the exposure and introducing a warm, ambient glow from the structural floor lamp, the sharp shadows are elegantly diffused. This careful correction reveals the subtle, earthy tones of the botanical accent pillow and highlights the rich grain of the wood and metal side table that might otherwise be lost in deep shadow.
• The Result:
A comprehensive visual narrative that perfectly translates the spatial experience within architect-led virtual design. The transition from a bright, high-contrast morning aesthetic to a softly balanced, warmly lit retreat showcases an ability to control environmental lighting without compromising the organic materials and mid-century modern-inspired styling of sophisticated interiors.
